Your 18 day Kimberley 4WD off-road camping safari departs and returns to the large Northern Territory town of Alice Springs, Australia.
While Kimberley is referred to as 'the last frontier', despite the remoteness of this rugged land, the Kimberley region boasts a lot to capture the heart and enthusiasm of tourists to the region, including some of Australia's most prominent indigenous artists and art centres as well as a plethora of Australian wild life, including the famous Salt Water Crocodiles. The landscape is spectacular, from gorges and cascading waterfalls to lush rainforest, national parks, mangroves, caves, rock pools, tidal rivers and seemingly untouched beaches.
One of the earliest settled parts of Australia; the Kimberley is located in the northern part of Western Australia and is bordered by the Indian Ocean, Timor Sea, Great Sandy and Tanami Deserts, and the Northern Territory.
During the 'dry season' visitors staying in the region can enjoy balmy clear blue sky days while evenings are cool enough to ensure a good nights sleep under the stars. The Kimberley weather is so stable that during the dry season you can plan an outdoor event years in advance!
